<p>The pump has the to and fro movement of the piston within the cylinder effected by magnetic forces provided by electro magnets. The pump has a double-action pumping effect so that when the piston moves in each direction it provides suction on one side and an expulsion force on the other side. Pref. the pump housing has two spaced magnetisable sections each surrounded by an electromagnet coil. The two coils are magnetised in alternation to provide the piston reciprocation, with two non-return valves associated with the space on either side of the piston for controlling the fluid or gas flow. The pump housing may have a number of cylinders with respective parallel pistons moved in synchronism.</p> |
