Rotary cutting tool with synthetic diamond blades - has diamond grain coating applied between or near blades

The rotary cutting tool with polycrystalline synthetic diamonds as blades is for machining very hard material such as reinforced plastic. A coating (20,22) of diamond grains is applied between or near the small number of blades (16), the number of which can pref. be between 4 and 24, while the diamond grain size is pref. between 250 and 450 microns. The coating can protrude in the axial direction for 0.1 to 0.5mm, and can be applied on one or both sides, by galvanising or gluing, being replaceable in the latter case.
