Wall or ceiling light holder mounting - has spaced lugs to fit above and below lamp base cross-moulding

The base of the light fitting (1) has a thread (2) into which the shade (3,4) is directly screwed. The base also has a cross-member (5) below the thread (2) through which the retaining screws (7) are positioned to locate with wall plugs (8) so fixing the unit to the wall. The feature is the central simple fixing for the lampholder (9) in the cross member (5) of the base (1). The lampholder (9) has side lugs (12) which pass through cut-outs in the cross member. The lampholder can be turned through approx. 60 deg. so that the side lugs (12) locate between two retaining ramped lugs on the top of the cross member (5). Further lugs (11,13) are spaced by the thickness of the cross member (5) from the upper lugs (12) and act as support retainers when the upper lugs are clipped fixed in the ramped cross member lugs.
