Prefab. peripherally coated mineral flooring panel - has ready fitted top insulation layer holding coating

The adjacent flooring panels are designed to fit together and combine as a unit. A coating overlaps all the top edges, on a pref. mineral body, forming a prefabricated panel used to make up a floor. The upper side (2) of the main panel body (1) has an insulating layer (4) on it, held in place by the coating (3), the latter being pref. in the form of a hood, made of elastically deformable plastics or rubber stretched onto the panel body. The coating can form a functional or wearing surface layer.
