Machine with a suds container which is freely suspended or supported on springs inside the machine housing is equipped with a liq. level control switch. The switch is fixed at a height to suit the desired degree of filling of the suds container and is coupled to it through a communicating flexible hose. The height of the filling can be adjusted either by altering the relative position of the level control switch or by altering the rate of the springs supporting the suds container. This is a simple suds level control which allows the fluid amt. to be adjusted to suit the kind and amt. of clothes to be washed.
