PURPOSE:To prevent the break-down of a bulb during heating, by forming a groove for chucking a linear bulb in predetermined range of distance from the end face of the bulb. CONSTITUTION:When bending a linear bulb 3 into a circle, the distance (a) between the forming position of a groove 3a made at the end section of the bulb 3 for the purpose to chuck the bulb 3 and the end face of the bulb is limited to 4- 7mm.. After heating the bulb 3 chucking the groove section to perform the bending work, the break-down of said section due to the load during the bending work is prevented. |
