PURPOSE:To speed up data recording and reproduction by writing gap data, having different time intervals from normal time intervals of data modulation pulses, at an optional position on a track. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of gap data GAP recorded at the beginning of data and at different time intervals from modulation pulses of the data, the data are recorded and reproduced. Namely, when data are recorded on each track of a floppy disk, the gap data GAP in a data pattern is recorded at an optional position of the track and at maximum time intervals of modulation pulses of the data. Then, sync data SYNC for synchronization is recorded. When this recorded data is to be reproduced, the gap data CAP is detected and the SYNC data SYNC is then detected, afterward the data are reproduced successively. |
