<p>PURPOSE:To effectively remove offensively odorous components in air by providing an ozonizer, a packed layer with hydrogen bromide, etc., a packed layer with an alkali metal bromide, etc., a packed layer with activated carbon, etc., and air supplier by which the air is orderly supplied to these packed layers. CONSTITUTION:The air A to be treated, containing offensively odorous components and sucked by a blower 1, is uniformly mixed with ozonized air supplied from an ozonizer 3 in a mixing tank 4 and then intorduced into a reaction tower 5, where the air is brought into contact with a packed layer 6 with hydrogen bromide or hydrobromic acid and offensively odorous components are mostly removed. Then, the air is brought into contact with a packed layer 8 with an alkali or alkaline earth metal bromide and the remaining offensively odorous components are removed. Then, the treated air is passed through an activated carbon-packed layer 7 where excessive oxidant and reaction products, e.g., sulfurous acid gas, etc., are adsorbed and removed, and treated air B is released to the outside.</p> |
