PURPOSE:To prevent the faulty operatin of an arm by setting the total driving rotation angle of a driving pulley driving the arm to <=360 deg., and by controlling the drive of the arm by the output signal of a detector operated by an operation part provided to the pulley. CONSTITUTION:The operation part of a driving pulley 11 for the rest position arm 20A of an arm 2 having a stylus 22 has a hole, through which the output signal of a detector 14 passes. For drive from the said position to a lead-in position arm 20B, when the photodetection of the detector 14 is intercepted by the driving pulley 11, the arm 20 is driven by an arm driving system 10 at a high speed up to the part where the hole is made in the driving pulley 11. For drive from the lead-in position arm 20B to an innermost circumferential position arm 20C, the arm 20 is driven at a normal reproduction speed because of the hole of the driving pulley 11. |
