<p>The fabric guide for the sewing machine is composed of a guide carrier (38) on an adjustable support (44), for selective positioning across the line of fabric feed in relation to the needle passage (28). The guide rail (50,52) also has an adjustable support (56) to give selective positioning parallel to the line of fabric travel for the carrier (38). A section (52) of the guide rail ranges forward in the direction of fabric advance at the fabric support surface directly adjacent to the needle passage (28). A switch mechanism with switch pressure arms (72,73) is located at the guide rail (50,52) to extend as far as the needle passage (28) to be tripped by the fabric passing along the guide rail. Simple adjustment for the fabric edge guide in relation to the sewing machine needle, together with the fabric edge sensor, with an independent adjustment for each.</p> |
