Thermoluminescent dosimeter and measuring instrument for an absorbed dose

A thermoluminescent dosimeter exhibits a flat card which carries a thermoluminescent element, and a holder which is constructed integrally with a ring to be worn on the finger, and which has a card holding area in which the card is slidingly inserted. Information codes needed are stored or recorded separately both on the holder and on the card so that the thermoluminescent dosimeter can carry a relatively large amount of information even though it is very compact in its dimensions. The present invention also creates a measuring instrument for an absorbed dose which is suitable not only for automatically reading the information recorded on the holder and on the card but also for automatically measuring a dose which was absorbed by the thermoluminescent element.
