The invention relates to a peripheral subassembly combination for ventilators with a circuit arrangement for intermittent mandatory ventilation connected to a pressure volume time control mechanism for controlled assisted ventilation. The solution according to the invention permits IMV with or without CPAP for conventionally operated ventilators, specifically by means of existing accessories and with the possibility of using all devices already integrated in the apparatus.
