PURPOSE:To use the memory medium for backup use with high efficiency and low cost, by transferring only the data renewed with file to a backup file. CONSTITUTION:When an access mechanism 6 moves a cartridge 16 to data recording mechanism 7,7' under the control of an acess controller 5, a data recording control mechanism 8 wrires in the data transferred from a staging disc controller 11 with the data recording mechanism 7,7' to renew the data of a cartridge 19. From the instruction from a MSC 9, the backup cartridge 19 for the renewed cartridge 19 is carried to the data recording mechanisms 7,7' as same as before to renew the same data. |
