The purification method of polluted water by dissolved materials which are separable through crystallization, consists in circulating the solution in a heat exchanger where the vaporization temperature is reached, in feeding the solution into a separator in which the vaporization is achieved by expansion. The solution is then fed back to the heat exchanger and the solid materials precipitated by the concentration of the solution are withdrawn from the liquid flow. The apparatus for implementing the method comprises a heat exchanger (14), a separator (16) connected to the exchanger, an extraction device (42) and a means (48) for feeding back the solution to the exchanger.
