The switching dog of the locking mechanism consists of a guide cam and pin, the latter being fitted at the free end of a spring arm (13). The latter forms a shank of a spring element (2) whose parallel other shank (14) carries a control pin (4) cooperating with a control cam (8). Both the control and guide pins are movable along mirror-image cam parts (24,26) during transition from the starting position into the switch latching position. These two pins are then movable along parallel extension cam parts (30,31) until they reach their resetting cam parts (32,33). The extension cam part (30) of the guide pin form simultaneously a part of its resetting cam part. Pref. the guide pin comes against a stop (28) prior to reaching its switch latch position. The spring element may be of U-shape and its angled free shank ends may form the guide and control pin respectively.
