<p>PURPOSE:To increase the effect of character recognition, by picking up the stroke number projection pattern projected separately on two or more coordinates which cross at one projection origin, as the characters of the recognized character pattern. CONSTITUTION:On projected axes 5-8 of two or more which cross on a projected origin 4 set to an arbitrary position, projected patterns 5-1-8-2 of a recognized character pattern 1 projected in the form of the number of strokes respectively, are produced. The recognized character pattern 1 can be recognized, e.g., as ''Ki (Chinese character)'', by collating the character patterns with the standart characteristic patterns stored in advance in a dictionary section. Thus, the effect of character recognition is increased, and accurate character recognition can be made even for characters having greater character line width such as manuscript characters and complicated characters having many strokes such as Kanji (Chines characters).</p> |
