PURPOSE:To improve the balance of writing efficiency by performing arrangement and wiring so that a part where a coil at the closest place to a magnetic gap and a coil at the place in the 4th order are connected and a part where the 2nd and 3rd coils are connected are between a center tap and other terminals. CONSTITUTION:The coil connections of a magnetic head are so made that a part where the most efficient coil 9 and the 4th coil 10 from a recording and reproduction gap 6 are connected and a part (writing layer 16) where the 2nd and 3rd coils 11 and 12 are connected are between a center tap 13 and other terminals 14 and 15 respectively. Consequently, a writing current flows as shown by the arrow in the figure and even if the same current is flowed between the terminals 14 and 15 for writing operation, well balanced recording and reproduction are achieved, obtaining a signal of high quality having less distortion of reproduced waveform. |
