PURPOSE:To speed up the multiplex conditional retrieval, by storing a control information relating to retrieval section and compared conditions to a control memory together with a retrieval pattern. CONSTITUTION:Retrieval mode designation information, retrieval section designating information, and retrieval conditions including compared condition and retrieval pattern are stored in a memory 5 corresponding to each of addresses to a given length data block of a retrieval objective record. The retrieval condition in the memory 5 is read out in synchronizing with the operation sequentially reading out each data block of the retrieval objective record and if each data block in the retrieval section satisfies the compared condition or not, is compared and discriminated over one record. Further, if the retrieval condition of multiplex designation is satisfied based on the output of the said comparison and discriminating circuits 8, 9 and the retrieval mode designating information, is judged at 17. |
