1. A bracket for a safety device to be fixed on an external wall (1) of a building (2), which device, for example a gangway, railing, or a simple protection net, comprises : - at least two brackets (3) ; - elements (42) for connecting the brackets (3) to one another ; - and a framework (26) suitable for supporting a protection net (27), which framework (26) is supported by the brackets (3) by mean of at least two feet each of which is articulated to the rear of a bracket (3) ; each bracket being, on the one hand, formed by a horizontal beam (4), an upright (5), and a strut (6) rigidly assembled with one another and, on the other hand, provided on its upright (5) both, at its upper part, with a means (8) for fixing to the wall (1) and, at its lower part, with a block (14) bearing against a fixed point with respect to the said wall (1) ; this bracket (3) being characterized in that for this association of the foot on its rear part it comprises in combination : - a sheath (24) accommodating the said foot ; and - a joint (22) for the articulation of the said sheath (24) about a horizontal axis (23) parallel to the wall (1).
