The novel derivatives, having the general formula: <CHEM> wherein R is a lower alkyl containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R1 is H or -OCH3, are useful therapeutical agents against protozoal diseases and bacterial infections, particularly as trichomonacidal agents.
