An aqueous system which contains as corrosion inhibitor a water- soluble salt of an aminotriazinecarboxylic acid or a partial ester thereof of the formula I <IMAGE> where R is -NR<1>R<2>, a straight-chain or branched C1-C4-alkyl group or a monocyclic C6-C10-aryl group which may be substituted by one or more water-solubilising groups, or where R is a radical of the formula <IMAGE> where X is -O- or -CH2-, or a radical of the formula -N<2bR>CH2OHCH2OH. R<1> and R<2> in the formula I are identical or different and each is hydrogen, -CHR<4>SR<3> or -CHR<4>SR<5>COOQ, where Q is hydrogen or a straight-chain or branched C1-C12-alkyl group, R<4> is hydrogen, a straight-chain or branched C1-C3-alkyl group or the group -COOQ, and R<5> is a divalent, straight-chain or branched C1-C4-alkylene group which may be substituted by a further -COOQ group. The compound of the formula I contains at least two -CHR<4>SR<5>COOH groups. |
