A frame element (10) for threading onto beams via holes (4) to form a framework for use on the seabed in fish husbandry is hot press moulded from a mixture of plastics waste, sand and a thermoplastic binder and has limbs (1) formed with recesses (2) in its surface. The recesses increase the surface area of the element and the production of the recess by projections on the moulding dies spreads the mixture in the dies and thereby improves the bond between separate charges of the mixture in the dies and reduces flaws in the surface of the product. As an alternative to that shown the frame element may have four limbs in the form of an X. <IMAGE> |
