PURPOSE:To highly efficiently recognize a pattern inputted by a simple scanner by writing-in the value correcting the distortion of quantitized pattern information onto the respective address registers of plural memories and by successively taking out the quantitized pattern information, whose distortion has been corrected, from the memories. CONSTITUTION:Quantitized pattern information containing the distortion sent from a scanner 5 is stored in a memory 6 in every partial piece of the pattern information divided into rows or columns, and quantitized values at respective points of the inputted pattern are accumulated in shift registers 7 successively. Pieces of the pattern information whose inputted positions are divided are written in a register 8 in parallel and further written in memory addresses of a memory 9 successively to store the respective partial patterns. In an address register 10 of the memory, an adequate address is written four times according to the distortion of the inptted pattern and its output is written in registers 11 to constitute one column of a pattern obtained by correcting the inutted pattern. Then, the outputs of the registers 11 are written in a memory 12 successively to store the distortion-corrected inputted pattern in the memory 12. |
