<p>1365306 Check valves; damper piston valves GIRLING Ltd 7 Sept 1971 [8 Sept 1970] 42921/70 Headings F2V and F2S An hydraulic damper control valve for a damper piston 10 having a plurality of apertures 12, comprises a flexible annular valve member 17 which is formed with a small bleed hole 21 and which is engageable at its inner and outer peripheries with respective inner and outer seats 16 and 18, the inner valve seat 16 being constituted by a washer element 25 whilst the outer valve seat 18 is in the form of a projection integral with the piston 10. A guide member 15, which is separate from the inner valve seat and extends centrally through the valve member 17, is formed of plastics, ceramics or an alloy with a lateral flange 26 for limiting the movement of the valve member inner periphery, and with two sets of flow conducting channels 20 and 23. The guide member and washer element 25 are clamped together and are clamped between the piston 10 and an annular limit stop member 14, by way of a nut 11a secured to the piston rod 11. In a modification, Fig. 3 to 5 (not shown), the washer member may be fitted around a concentric projection (28, Figs. 5) of the guide member. Alternatively, Fig. 6 (not shown), the washer member may be omitted and the stop member 14 arranged to provide the inner valve seat.</p> |
