PURPOSE:To prevent the settling of magnetic particles in the ink on a build-up magnet at the leading end of a recording head and obtain a sharp recorded picture continuously for a long period of time by providing a magnetic ink refining part by concentrated magnetic fields in the supply part for the magnetic ink and removing giant particles or flocculated particles, etc. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 7 building up magnetic ink 3 is adhered to the position about 300mu from the leading end of multistyli 6 arranged with 1280 pieces of coated iron wires 5 of a 60mu diameter in one row at 8 pieces/mm. density, and a supply path 8 made of a magnet supplying the ink 3 to the magnet 7 is adhered to the magnet 7. The path 8 is immersed at the other end into a subtank 9 of the ink 3. The ink is supplied through a magnetic refining part 10 removing the large particles, flocculated particles and unstably dispersed particles in the magnetic microparticles (about 100Angstrom grain size) dispersed in the ink 3 by allowing these to settle in the concentrated magnetic fields on the magnetic plate by making use of the concentrated magnetic fields between a magnetic ink tank 11 and the tank 9. Thereby, the magnetic particles are prevented from settling at the leading end of the magnet 7, and sharp images are obtained continuously for a long period of time on a recording body 13. |
