PURPOSE:To suppress the number of occupied bits by a subscriber by receiving combination of specific codes and using a numeral in succession to the specific code or a code corresponding to a numeral surrounded by the code so as to judging the significance of a character message thereby reading and displaying a routine message corresponding to characters or the like from a storage circuit. CONSTITUTION:The signal constitution for a subscriber sent from a base station consists of a call number and messages No.1-3, the carrier of the signal is received by a radio reception section 2, demodulated and then inputted to a decoding/control circuit 3. The circuit 3 decodes the signal being the combination of specific codes to monitor whether or not the data of an EP-ROM 5 is coincident with an individual selective call signal of the input signal, in case of coincidence, a message signal is detected. Then the decoded message information bit is stored in a RAM 4, the fact of call is informed to the subscriber by an alarm phone 10 via a buffer 9 and the message stored in the RAM 4 is displayed on a display device 13 by a character generator 11 and a driver 12. |
