<p>The apparatus is used for handling profiles in the deformable state, especially profiles made from ferrous or non-ferrous metals or from thermoplastics, which are emerging from an extruder press. The apparatus has a planar and at least approximately horizontal receiving table (3) for the profiles (1). A first onward movement apparatus (2) for the successive profiles (1) receives the latter at the outlet from the machine or from an apparatus for cutting them to a specific length and supports them over their entire length. A second onward movement apparatus for the profiles (1) moves the latter on the receiving table (3) at right angles to their axis, as far as a discharge apparatus (26). A plurality of straight, mutually parallel components (8) are held together by cross-pieces (9) so that they form a rigid and non-deformable frame. An adjusting apparatus (12, 13, 14, 16) adjusts the frame cyclically and by stages, relative to the receiving table (3). A cooling apparatus (fan 6) for the profiles (1) and the receiving table (3) may be provided. <IMAGE></p> |
