<p>An explosive-actuated stud setter including a housing (1) and a barrel (3) mounted in the housing (1) in such a manner that it can be displaced only in the direction of its longitudinal axis. The barrel (3) includes a chamber (7) for receiving a cartridge (8), the said chamber (7) being arranged to extend transversely to the longitudinal axis of the barrel (3). The chamber (7) is movable into the firing position and into the loading position by axial displacement of the barrel (3). A cartridge ejector (15) is arranged so that when the barrel (3) is adjusted out of the firing position in the direction of the barrel mouth, the ejector (15) is caused to move in a direction towards the mouth of the cartridge chamber (7) and cause a cartridge (8) in the chamber (7) to be ejected exclusively when the barrel (3) is between the firing and the loading positions. <IMAGE></p> |
