A roofing board and method for applying boards during roofing installation on a base such as, for example, rafters 21. The roofing board has two opposing parallel sides which are designed with a tongue 6 and groove 7 which are so formed in relation to each other that two joined boards 22, 24 on their upper side form one running track 19 on the upper side of the boards between the tongue 6 and groove's 7 upper side walls down to the protruding part of the tongue 6, while other parts of tongue and groove basically abut each other. During the laying of roof boards, the boards are laid 22, 24 in rows next to each other with caulking compound 23 between the boards' side edges and thus in new rows above a previous row and the caulking compound is applied in the open track 19 facing upwards. A surface layer of cardboard, sheet metal, roofing tile or similar can then be installed on the sealed subroofing also without any subroofing cardboard. <IMAGE> |
