<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly remove chips on a steel plate, by providing two flexible sheets, one end of each of which is connected to a conveying duct at both the sides of an opening and the other ends of which are brought into contact with each other to close the opening and by providing a duct which is inserted into the opening through between the flexible sheets. CONSTITUTION:A conveying duct 8, which connects a dust collector and a suction duct 3 to each other, is provided with a metal plate duct portion 10 having an opening and with rubber seals 11 for closing the opening. One end of each seal 11 is secured on the duct portion 10 and the other ends are brought into contact with each other to constitute a sealing mechanism to shut off the opening. A plurality of metal plates 12 for holding the seals 11 down are provided. The metal plates 12 are pivotally coupled to the sides of the duct portion 10. The halfway parts and free ends of the metal plates 12 are coupled to the corresponding parts of the seals 11. Springs 13 are provided to restrict the metal plates 12. Guide plates 14 are provided on the inside surface of the duct portion 10. Chips on a cut surface can be collected and removed through the suction duct 3 and the conveying duct 8. When the duct 3 is moved along the other duct 8, the seals 11 are pushed open so that the chips can be rapidly removed.</p> |
