PURPOSE:To sense the fine destructive vibrations which are prodominal phenomena of the destruction of the ground of the deep sea bottom, by arranging many vibration sensors in the sea bottom, by introducing the signals to the shore by matrix connections, and processing the signal. CONSTITUTION:A sensor cable 6 whose length is 1km is layed along the dislocation of the sea bottom. Hundred sensors 9 are arranged at every 10m interval. The sensors 9 are enclosed in sensor cases 1 which are formed by corrosion resistant metal or synthetic resin. The fine destruction of the ground which occurs before the large destruction of the ground is sensed by said sensor 9. The sensed signal is amplified by a preamplifier 10, and led to a signal processing circuit 8 through a power and signal transmission cable 2 having twenty signal lines in the form of the matrix connections and a relay amplifier 3. In the signal processing amplifier 8, the discrimination of the sensors and required data processing are performed, and the status of the ground is estimated. The detected signal or data signal can be converted to an optical signal, and can be led to the shore by optical fiber cables. |
