A sweetening agent contains a synthetic sweetener and additionally a flavour enhancer, which is potassium aluminium sulphate, naringin or a mixture of these two. Synthetic sweeteners, in particular dipeptide sweeteners such as L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester, have the disadvantage that they cause a long-lasting sweet aftertaste. This aftertaste is eliminated by the flavour enhancers according to the invention. The sweetening agents can be solid mixtures or solutions which may optionally additionally contain solid or liquid diluents. Preparation is generally carried out by mixing or co-drying and the sweetening agents can be used for sweetening foodstuffs or beverages. |
