<p>A polyurethane-bound rubber crumb matting is produced continuously from a mixt. contg. (a) as the main component, rubber crumb esp. from old tyres, (b) a polyurethane binder, (c) a catalyst for (b), (d) usual additives and opt., pigments. The mixt. is introduced continuously into the moulding hollow of a machine equipped with endless belt conveyor and subjected to moulding under simultaneous application of pressure and heat. Setting takes place in the moulding hollow pref. in 4-6 minutes dwell time. Pref. (b) is metered continuously into (a) with vigorous mixing and automatic discharge of the mixt, into a rapid operating distribution outlet on the machine.</p> |
