PURPOSE:To ensure the switching for an image under recording and the video signal recorded previously for the reproduction, by giving a displacement to a video reproduction monitor head in a rotary head assembly vertically to the tape scanning surface and under recording. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 16 records the video signal after an erasing head 15 erases the information. The head 15 is attached at the position downward by 1/3 track pitch of the head 16. In the same way, a reproduction monitor head 17 is positioned at a place upward by 1/3 track pitch of the head 16. Thus the signal immediately after the recording through the head 16 can be reproduced to obtain a monitor head for the state of recording. If the head 17 is put downward by 2/3 pitch track bit of the head 16, the signal immediately before the erasion through the head 15 can be reproduced. |
