PURPOSE:To elevate workability and a manufacturing speed, and also to manufacture a long cable, by feeding out an optical fiber core bundled and stored in the shape of a coil or ''8'', and changing it to a cable. CONSTITUTION:A core 1 bundled and stored in the shape of a coil or ''8'' is fed out from a bundling device 8, each optical fiber 1 is placed by a guide 10 through a tention control device 9, and after that, it is made to pass through an aggregate die 4, and a cable core 5 is formd. The cable core 5 is wound around a cable drum 7, being twisted by rotation of a twisting take-up device 12. In the middle of this process, it is covered with a holding and winding tape, and sheathing by a covering device 11. In this way, workability and a manufacturing speed are elevated, and also a long cable is manufactured. |
