<p>PURPOSE:To improve resolution of character images or the like without changing arranging pitches by disposing light emitting diodes or light emitting windows with inclination with respect to the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting windows 8 are arranged to the surface parallel with the light irradiation surface of a photoreceptor 5 in a manner as to incline with respect to the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the photoreceptor 5, and a light emitting diode unit 7 provided internally with the light emitting diodes opposing to these windows 8 is provided. A fiber unit 9 arranged with optical fibers 10 zigzag is provided, and the light emitting diodes are allowed to emit light successively in timing with the movement of the photoreceptor 5. The picture elements 11 linearly formed on the photoreceptor 5 are formed by the dots of the light thereof. Since the windows 8 are provided inclinedly in this way, the pitches of the picture elements 11 formed on the photoreceptor 5 are made smaller than the size of the spacings between the windows 8, and resolution is improved.</p> |
