PURPOSE:To prevent the vanish of micropores in a sheet by extrusion molding a hot kneaded mixture of olefine resin, an inorganic powder, and plasticizer to form a sheet, embossing it before cooling and hardening, and then extracting the plasticizer. CONSTITUTION:A raw material 3 comprising a mixture of low density polyethylene pellets, fine powder of silica, and petrolium oil is charged in the mixing part 5, and melted through mixing and heating with a heater 6. Then it is extruded from a die 8 with a rotor 7 to form a sheet 9, which is embossed while passing through rollers 10, 10', and the plasticizer is extracted with the aid of trichloroethylene solution 11 to obtain a sheet 12 for separators. Thus an excellent separator can be obtained without vanishing of micropores in the sheet 12 and being easily torn due to the molecular orientation. |
