PURPOSE:To prevent the imprinting of the stains of an original conveying belt and the frictional charging of the belt by spacing said belt from platen glass during copying. CONSTITUTION:An original conveying belt 3 is held pressed to platen glass 1 by rollers 4. The roiginal 2 is carried by the belt 3, and stops in a position where it abuts on a registration edge 8. Prior to copying, the pressing of the roller 4 is released, and the belt 3 floats about 3mm. from the glass 1. At the time of carrying out the original, the roller 4 again presses the belt 3. By the pressing of the roller 4, the conveying of the original and the abutting of the original on the edge 8 are made sure, and since this pressing is released at the copying, the occurrence of imprinting of the stained belt and the paper clogging by frictional charging is prevented. |
