The watch comprises a dial with 24 graduations. A line joins the sixth graduation to the eighteenth, representing the horizon and the equinox line respectively. Another line joins the twelfth to the twenty fourth graduation, representing the meridian where the user is. The hour hand, which makes a complete turn of the dial in 24 hours, bears a disc representing the sun. The dial may be opaque ane the disc and end of the hand only are visible. Two lines show the winter and summer solstices. Graduations representing the meridian are replaced by the letters Z (zenith) and N (nadir) respectively. A ring can be adjusted to show the local conventional time where the user is.
