PURPOSE:To produce the titled iron core easily and inexpensively by forming a high silicon iron slurry to a stepped sheet, forming this sheet to an annular iron core then sintering the same. CONSTITUTION:A silicon iorn slurry 10 of 4-8% silicon contents is prepd. This slurry 10 is prepd. by mixing, for example, carbonyl iron powder, Fe-Si alloy powder, a binder, a plasticizer and a solvent in a ball mill. This slurry 10 is flowed onto a forming carrier 11 by using a doctor blade 12, and is formed into the shape of a stepped sheet 13 having projections 14 on one side. Next, the sheet 13 is rounded to an annular shape and the end faces 15 thereof are butted and adhered, by which it is formed into an iron core 16. It is possible to form iron cores of different shapes depending upon the ways of rounding said sheet 13. Thence, the formed iron core 16 is heated in the atmosphere to allow the binder and the like to scatter, following to which it is heated in dry hydrogen to sinter, whereby an iron core 16 is completed. |
