A punch head for a punch machine, in particular for use in the shoe industry, has a plurality of type wheels (9) which are mounted rotatably on a common type wheel shaft (4) and which support the punch types. The type wheels can be advanced by means of a ratchet gear. A device for joint resetting of the type wheels (9) has resilient engagement lugs on the type wheel shaft (4) which engage in each case in a radial recess of the type wheel (9). The type wheel shaft (4) is connected to a sprocket wheel, over which a chain (19) runs. A straight-line section of the chain (19) communicates with a piston rod (21) of a piston/cylinder unit (22) which is activated by pressure medium. <IMAGE>
