The base (2) of the saucepan, frying pan etc. is designed to act like a plate-like heat pipe. It has a closed cavity (8) defined by the lower case wall (5) facing the heating source (4) and the upper base wall (7) facing the base area (6) of the container (3). The cavity contains a heat carrier which vaporises when heat is supplied to the lower base wall (5). It flows as steam (D) e.g. through a channel structure (9) in the cavity (8), towards the upper base wall (7) where it condenses on contact so that it is returned as condensation (R) to the lower base wall (5) via the capillary structure (10) in the cavity (8).
|
