Layered resistor on epoxy! substrate - uses nickel copper resistance material with end contacts and is laser beam cut

A layer resistor is on an insulator substrate. The substrate is a glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin (1) with either noble metal coated or noble metal end contacts (6,7) between which is the resistance layer(5) coared on the substrate also. The resistance layer is cut to the required resistance by using a laser beam and then it is coated with a protective layer; leaving the end contacts free.
