Load-carrying properties of gear oils are increased by the addition of triazole derivatives obtained by reacting benzotriazole or an alkylbenzotriazole with alkylphosphates, alkylphosphonates or primary fatty amines, a napthenyl oxazoline or an alkenylsuccinyl mono- or bis-oxazoline. |
