Single crystal pulling from multicomponent alloys - using specified disc for joining-seed holder to cooler
摘要

A device for the growth of single crystals from multi-component alloys includes a tubular holder for a seed crystal and for the alloy. Its open end rests on a disc, made of a material with a higher heat conductivity than the alloy and with a lower melting point. This disc is sepd. from the top of a cooler by an air space, created by pointed humps. A coaxial heater surrounds the holder. This ensures a good heat exchange between cooler and the seed crystal in the holder. It is a simple and reliable design. The high temp. gradient leads to better quality of the single crystals.
