A compound represented by the formula: (I) wherein R1 is hydrogen, lower alkylcarbonyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl, phenoxycarbonyl, lower alkylsulfonyl or lower alkylcarbamoyl, R2 is phenyl; phenyl substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, lower alkoxycarbonyl, halogen, formyl, cyano, thiocyano, nitro, lower alkylsulfinyl, lower alkylsulfonyl, lower alkylcarbonyl, acetylamino or phenyl; or naphthyl, with the proviso that when R1 is hydrogen or lower alkylcarbonyl, R2 is the said substituted phenyl or naphthyl, and use thereof as a fungicide.
