<p>The threshing mechanism comprises one or more drums, mounted above a concave incorporating a separator with rotary transporter. At one point in the concave (8) there is an opening (15) for the passage of the entire crop, below which is a sieve-type concave (22) acting as a separator. Any unseparated crop is delivered by this to a subsequent segment (12) of the main concave. The sieve concave can be joined to the main one at the inlet and outlet ends (28,30), while the transporter can be a drum (24) with radial auger blades (26). The main concave can be formed by front and rear segments (10,12), the opening (15) between them extending through a greater arc than either of them.</p> |
