摘要 <p>A voltage supply system for an ozone generator shapes the rectified a.c. voltage to produce a pulsed alternating voltage with steep ascending flank and variable frequency and amplitude. This is supplied to a high-voltage transformer, which in turn supplies the ozone generator. The sum (2TB) of the pulse widths (TB) of two successive pulses of opposite polarity is substantially smaller than the period (Tp) of the pulsed alternating voltage. Experiment shows that ozone is produced virtually only during the steep ascend in flank of the pulsed voltage and hardly at all after the maximum amplitude is reached. Therefore, by making the pulse width small, greater efficiency of ozone generation is achieved.</p>
