The non-return venting valve is for the insertion needle of an infusion apparatus. It has a cylindrical valve chamber with inlet and outlet and a plug working against a seat at the inlet. The plug (12) slides freely in the chamber (6), and there are distance pieces (16) acting between its face away from the air inlet (10) and the chamber rear wall (15). When the plug is lifted off its seat (13), these ensure an air passage of sufficient cross-section between the air inlet and outlet in the chamber. The plug can be in the form of a disc.
