Liquid is poured into a measurement container contg. a mixture of cropand the extraneous material until the liquid covers the mixture. A weighing device is used. The mass Me of extraneous material is calculated from its relationship with the wt. of the mixture Mo, the total vol. Vg of the mixture and liquid, the Vol.Vpot liquid added, the density rho.R of the crop and the density rho.E of the extraneous material.
